#sayThankYou

Thanks all the staff of A and E and the CCU unit for all of the care and attention they gave me at a very painful time. All the staff are friendly and helpful, this hospital is a credit to the NHS, thanks so much regards andy major.

From A an E to surgery I had the most wonderful caring staff . I have never needed to use the system before for my self . It was a very busy time just after Christmas . To see everyone rushing around , and keeping everyone calm . I applaud you all.

All the teams from porters, the catering, the nurses, the doctors, all reception staff and consultants deliver fantastic service. Make sure with the merger with Luton that they are kept!

I was a patient on Reginald Hart ward in February 2019 for a hip replacement. The staff on the whole were lovely especially Stephanie and Judith. Nothing was too much trouble for them even when they were short staff. The operation went very well performed by Mr Avinte a wonderful surgeon and very caring Ward was clean. Food surprisingly good The only thing I would say is the lack of television or radio so it was quite boring I expect to have the same treatment when I have my other hip replaced later in the year

This hospital SHUT BE DOWN IMMEDIATLEY. I was taken to A&E with a ruptured disk and other injuries to the back. I was in terrible pain and unable to move. I was admitted to the ward and remained there for a week. The nurses don't care and are rude, the doctors are totally absent and the general cleanliness is appalling. There is no patient care whatsoever. One is treated with no respect of humanity. I could write so many appalling stories that happened to me or other patients but it would be too long. I was moved three times in one week. On the second day I was taken for an MRI scan. Considering I could not move I asked the nurses to help pull me up. They refused saying that they could get injured if they tried to pull me up. Disgusting behaviour. The last ward I was in was called the Whitbread ward. There were 5 other patients all over 75. One night one of them was buzzing for help and shouting in pain. Nobody came. Eventually after 45 minutes I pressed my buzzer and started shouting for help too so that this man could be looked at. A nurse finally came and I told her to go and check on the other patient. She was annoyed that I had done this. It turns out that the patient had a big problem with his catheter and was in terrible pain. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY.

My wife's operation went fine. However, its clear that this hospital is struggling to make ends meet. Its moth-eaten at the edges. A great pity because the great staff are clearly in danger of becoming demoralised by less than excellent resources to do their job. Some equipment didn't work.

I really cannot fault this hospital given the enormity of their task. I have heard of little slips happening but these are usually triggered by people constantly expecting 110% service and not accepting very minor blips. I have received care from at least 4 departments in the past year and cannot fault any-one. I would give them 10 out of 10 and apart from being a patient have no connection what-so-ever with the hospital or it's staff.
